Aldersgate is a loving and caring Church dedicated to growing disciples of Christ. We do outreach in the community with several projects and mission opportunities. Some of these include: Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen, Winthrop University Wesley Foundation, Rolling in Rock Hill, Salkahatchie, Prayer Walk, Epworth Children's Home and Crop Walk. There are several other Missions we support listed below.
Plentiful Harvest Kitchen opened its doors in August 2012 to those in need of a healthy meal. The soup kitchen takes place at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Rock Hill, SC. It is operated by volunteers from area churches and various organizations. Free meals are served every Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
Aldersgate has a team that volunteers an afternoon of their time approximately every couple of months to feed local men, women and children.
The General Board of Global Ministries of The United Methodist Church is dedicated to equipping and transforming people and communities worldwide for God’s mission. Its goals include making disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthening and renewing Christian congregations, alleviating human suffering, and promoting justice, freedom, and peace. As the Church’s mission and humanitarian assistance agency, Global Ministries envisions a world where churches grow, communities thrive, and all people live with dignity and security, even in times of disaster. Through mission work, the Church finds unity, and society moves closer to its fullest potential.
